Rev. Kimberly Orr Resigns as Publisher/Associate General Secretary of The Upper Room at Discipleship Ministries
NASHVILLE, Tenn. May 6, 2024/Discipleship Ministries/ - Discipleship Ministries of The United Methodist Church announced today that after three years of faithful service, Rev. Kimberly Orr, Publisher/Associate General Secretary of The Upper Room has resigned and will be seeking appointment elsewhere July 1, 2024.
Rev. Jeff Campbell, General Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of Discipleship Ministries, stated, “The Upper Room remains an important part of the ecumenical ministry of The United Methodist Church. As we look to the future, we will provide space for new direction following God’s call for The Upper Room. I give thanks for the service of Rev. Orr and we wish her well in her next endeavors.”
Future Leadership Plans:
In the interim, General Secretary Jeff Campbell will lead The Upper Room as the search for Rev. Orr’s successor begins, underscoring Discipleship Ministries’ commitment to the vital ministries of The Upper Room.
