Bring Launchpad to Your Region
By Paul Nixon
In the past few months, more than one hundred United Methodist leaders have experienced Path 1’s Launchpad training for new ministry start-ups, led by Paul Nixon and Patricia Peña. Most of those recently trained are seeking to develop new United Methodist churches following significant denominational disaffiliation in their areas. Some amazing new churches are rising from the Texas panhandle to South Carolina to central Pennsylvania.
Launchpad is an adaptable training that can apply to any sort of new start from Fresh Expressions to new worship communities to new, quite traditional United Methodist congregations. The Path 1 team would be happy to offer a future edition of Launchpad online or onsite for any United Methodist annual conference. You tell us what sorts of leaders you wish to resource, and we will customize the training for your local needs.
- Get your team to think like a new starts team and lean outward.
- Learn how to develop friendships and partnerships in the neighborhood that will help build a platform for developing ministry.
- Develop a strategy for mixing newcomers with more seasoned church folk to work side by side.
- Create a culture of invitation within your launch team.
- Decide where your group will offer some caring to your community, bless your neighbors, and build credibility.
