Disciples in the Marketplace: Episode 3 - My Spirituality is My Work
By David Teel
This video-based, small-group series highlights everyday disciples who are “disciples in the marketplace.” In each streaming video episode and the accompanying group discussion guide, ordinary people share how faith impacts their work life, and vice versa.
Episode Three: 'My Spirituality is My Work'
Along with sign painter Ruben Torres, we look at work as a form of spirituality through layperson Nick Herman’s insights into practicing God’s presence on the job.[1] For Ruben, Nick, and John Wesley, our work is our spirituality (and vice versa), a loving conversation with God and the world through whatever labor we put our hands to. Praying, working, and living coincide to create a connected, unified life with and for others.
