In our February webinar, we talked about the importance of culture and getting as specific as possible about clarifying the ethos of your new faith community. We looked at different frameworks that can help us start thinking about what makes a new faith community unique in God's ministry in our neighborhoods and contexts. Having a clear picture of who we are is essential in helping us develop a vision and strategy that will embody our values and grow our new community into a thriving and sustainable church.

In our final webinar of this series, we will drill down and talk about how to create a vision using some tools such as backward design planning, Gantt charts, and Will Mancini’s vision frame. We will walk through a couple of these tools you can use with your team to identify a long-range vision that inspires and short-range planning that will help you get there. We will look at setting goals, identifying benchmarks, and putting it all together on a timeline to have a clear and consistent vision about who God is calling you to be.

It is hard to believe that a year has gone by already. We are looking forward to offering similar online training for church planters in the future. We pray for God’s blessings upon you and your team as you carry on the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ through the strategy of starting new faith communities.
