Developing Developers 2024

We are thrilled to invite you to the Developing Developers event, October 27-29, 2024, at the California-Nevada Annual Conference Center in West Sacramento, California. This two-day event is designed for ministry leaders, congregational developers, and anyone passionate about local church revitalization, ministry renewal, leadership innovation, and congregational development and redevelopment.

Why Attend?

This event offers a unique opportunity to:

  • Expand Your Knowledge: Learn from engaging presentations and workshops that provide practical tools and fresh ideas to enhance your ministry.
  • Network with Peers: Connect with other ministry developers, conference leaders, and like-minded individuals who share your passion for church development.
  • Experience Hands-On Learning: Participate in impactful experiential sessions, including worship at Casa De Dios, that will inspire and renew your ministry.

What to Expect:

During the event, you will:

  • Engage in Dynamic Sessions: Participate in workshops, presentations, and experiential learning designed to equip you with actionable insights.
  • Build Lasting Connections: Enjoy structured networking opportunities to form meaningful relationships that continue beyond the event.
  • Access Valuable Resources: Gain access to a wealth of digital content and resources tailored to support your ministry’s growth.

Measure Your Impact:

Your feedback is essential. After the event, you will have the opportunity to reflect on and measure what you learned and the connections you made. We will follow up with surveys and discussions to ensure the event continues to meet your needs. Your feedback will also help shape future gatherings.

Below are key highlights from the evaluation report of last year's Developing Developers event. At this year's event, we seek to achieve the following desired outcomes.

Short-Term Outcomes:

  • Increased Knowledge and Awareness: Eighty-five percent of the participants reported gaining new knowledge or ideas that they can use in their ministries.
  • Effectiveness of Networking: Eighty percent of the participants reported making at least three new meaningful connections.
  • Satisfaction with Event Structure: Ninety percent of the participants rated the event structure (e.g., mix of presentations, networking, experiential sessions) as effective or very effective.

Intermediate Outcomes:

  • Application of Ideas: Seventy percent of the participants reported that they implemented at least one idea from the event into their ministry within three months.
  • Sustained Collaboration: Sixty percent of the participants maintain regular contact with at least one new connection for collaboration.
  • Creation of New Resources/Programs: At least three new resources or programs are being developed based on suggestions from the event (e.g., webinars, digital ministry instruction).

Long-Term Outcomes:

  • Improved Ministry Effectiveness: Seventy-five percent of the participants reported that their ministry effectiveness improved after they implemented ideas from the event.
  • Growth in Faith Communities: Fifty percent of the participants reported growth (e.g., increased engagement, new community initiatives) in their faith communities after they applied concepts from the event.
  • Enhanced Inclusivity in Ministry Practices: Sixty percent of the participants implemented more inclusive practices in their ministries because they were inspired by the event.

Past participants said:

  • “The event was well-organized, and the topics were highly practical and applicable to a wide range of ministry settings.”
  • “I appreciated the opportunities for table talks and networking, which provided valuable resources for church development.”
  • “Experiencing worship and fellowship at Casa De Dios was a powerful reminder of our connection and shared mission.”
