In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, our United Methodist churches and communities have experienced many losses: loss of the use of our buildings, loss of community celebrations, loss of in-person worship, and loss of offerings. Individuals have lost loved ones, businesses, homes, and jobs. Yet these months have not all been about loss. We’ve gained new ways to be in ministry, new tools to keep connected, and new opportunities to engage with our communities to support our mission of “making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.”
Join Ken Sloane, Director of Stewardship & Generosity at Discipleship Ministries, and his guests, Jay Litton and Katherine Simons, co-leaders of the Job Networking ministry of the Roswell United Methodist Church in Georgia, as they discuss how one congregation met the challenge of helping people find employment. Hear about this powerful ministry, and how your church might use their pioneering best practices to build a church outreach for your community!
