Radicle Methodism 2025: Dive into United Methodist Roots
By Motoe Yamada Foor
Discover the Roots of United Methodism
Are you curious about the foundational roots of The United Methodist Church? Join us for Radicle Methodism 2025, an enriching program brought to you by the General Commission on Archives and History in collaboration with Discipleship Ministries. (In botany, the radicle is the first part of a seedling to emerge from the seed during germination. The radicle is the embryonic root of the plant.)
This transformative study program, running from January 15 to February 28, 2025, will offer a churchwide opportunity to explore the origins and evolution of Methodism. While the study is available online for individual participation, we thought it would be fun—and impactful—to journey through it together as a denomination. This shared experience is ideal for intergenerational groups, providing a space where people of all ages can learn from one another.
Group Participation Encouraged
Consider integrating Radicle Methodism 2025 into your church’s weekly rhythm. Gather after worship, on a weekday, or over a meal. Small groups, youth groups, women's circles, and church leadership teams are all encouraged to come together and explore Methodist history as a community. This shared experience will foster deeper connections and inspire collective growth.
