Burlingame, California, August 1-3, 2011 congregational leaders will gather around the conference theme, “Unleashing Spiritual Power for Baptismal Living”. Mark Stamm of Perkins School of Theology will keynote the event for local church pastors and laity from across the United States and Canada.

“Making disciples who live their baptism in the world is much on the minds of United Methodists these days,” says Dan Benedict. “This event clearly aligns with the current United Methodist ‘Call to Action’ to reorder the life of congregation around making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.” Dan is a United Methodist and also serves as secretary of NAAC, an ecumenical consortium of church leaders in Canada and the United States.

All church leaders are welcome to register for the event. Full information and registration is available at NAAC website. Specific questions may be directed to Rick Rouse, NAAC president: [email protected], or Dan Benedict ([email protected] or 808-637-4020).

The event speakers, worship, and workshops will orient participants to a congregation wide process in which baptism is central to welcoming, forming and initiating men and women into God’s just and loving reign.
