The Church is an Organic System...not a machine

In this brief video Alan Hirsch discusses the church as an organic system. Like all organic systems it must reproduce itself. When it stops reproducing it dies. The task of leadership in organic systems is to equip the people of God to disciple others into the reign of God and to become church planters.

He also makes a good argument that effective organic systems tend to be quite simple. We have made church much too complex.
