Path 1 / Church Planting

Path 1 is a team of leaders drawn from global, national, regional, and local levels of The United Methodist Church. Our mission is to train, equip, and deploy church leaders, both lay and clergy, who will equip people for disciple-making and start and sustain new and vital congregations and ministries in the United States and worldwide.

A crucial path in making disciples for Christ requires venturing into communities where new vital churches are needed to serve all of God’s children. The process also calls for healthy churches to branch out and assist in starting fresh expressions of Christian communities.
