It's divided into seven sessions, providing commentary on the history, practice, and principles of Holy Communion in United Methodist congregations.

Outline for Overview Study of This Holy Mystery: Three 1.5-hour Sessions
This Holy Mystery: A United Methodist Understanding of Holy Communion by Gayle Carlton Felton (Discipleship Resources, 2005) is designed for seven sessions. We recognize that a study of that length may not be feasible in every congregation. The following outline offers help in covering some of the material in three sessions instead. Such a plan will have great value in itself and may also stimulate sufficient interest to make additional sessions possible later.
