God of the silence and the waiting: between the cross and the empty tomb, we travel this day when we remember the foolishness of the world. Those in power thought that death, a tomb, a stone, and some soldiers could end a story that you had started. We worship and offer our gifts this morning in the deepest conviction that your story did not end sealed in a tomb. For two thousand years, in every remembrance of these days, the story still will not end, will not be sealed and finished once and for all. The story continues. In Christ, we pray. Amen. (Matthew 27:57-66)
