This week, we wrap up our series, acknowledge the Ascension, and potentially celebrate Communion! It’s a big week, and our music should reflect the joyous occasion as well as our ongoing call to believe into Christ and become one with one another in the process. For Communion, “Make Us One” (TFWS 2224) and “One Bread, One Body” (UMH 620) would work well. “Blest Be The Tie That Binds” (UMH 557) speaks to our interconnectedness. Tying back into the themes of co-creating the new creation and making our belief in Christ an embodied reality, we recommend the contemporary tunes “Rise Up” and “Kingdom Is Coming.” “Love Rises” celebrates the love among us in the Easter season.
